Our Foundation

We are tourism and sustainable development

Our Foundation, is the social area of the tourism company Cusco Expeditions, which began its social work in 2018, developing various projects serving the vulnerable population of the Cusco region, with the aim of contributing to economic improvement, the environmental care, the promotion of cultural and tourist activities; as well as the strengthening of the human capacities of children, adolescents and women in the intervention sectors.

MISSION

Our Foundation, is constituted in the Cusco region as a non-profit entity that directs, executes and promotes social projects serving the vulnerable population of the region, contributing to the improvement of their quality of life.

VISION

Our Foundation is a leading entity in the development of social projects in the southern region, which are sustainable and have achieved the active role of their actors involved in the processes of change.

VALUES

Throughout time in Cusco Expeditions we have followed values that define us and that highlight their power. Values such as uniqueness and credibility, with our Travel Agency we will highlight these qualities or values

Cleaning Campaign Salkantay

For us, Salkantay and its surroundings are our home, the center of our work and life, and it is for this that we dedicate ourselves and manifest our respect and gratefulness.

Environmental Responsibility

Respect of the environment is extremely important for us in Cusco Expeditions. With its principal work, it finds itself in an area of great care and respect.

Ecological Campsites

A Choza is a Shelter or Campsite which was constructed both in mountainous areas and in rural areas, and it was used by shepherds and farmers to stay overnight together.

Reforestation Project

In some occasions, natural regeneration of the forest is the best options, but in other situations, it is necessary to reforest as a form of restoring ecosystems.

Community Support

Cusco Expeditions created HELPING HANDS with of of the company’s collaborators with the goal of supporting the neighboring communities in our field of work.

Christmas campaign

Committed to the children of our remote communities, we carry out each year the Christmas campaign with the motto "KUSICHISUN" stealing many smiles from the children.

Yuraq Quirucha

This project’s motto is “YURAQ QUIRUCHA”. The main goal is to educate children about dental care, and to help raise awareness among children ages 6 to 12 years.

Wonderful trek!

It was honestly the most fantastic experience. My partner is quite fit, I would say I had a medium level of fitness, but 0 experience trekking or being at altitude and had felt a bit nervous before we went. But Freddy is a great guide and there were others in our group with a similar fitness level so it was nice to find someone your speed and trek together.
